Emergency First Aid training provides participants with knowledge and skills to provide assistance during the first few minutes after a life threatening incident. This training is fully certified by the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia (RLSSA) and Life Saving Victoria (LSV) and is delivered to be consistent with current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
For groups or individuals not requiring certification in the Nationally Accredited course HLTFA201A, this course option provides a value for money alternative.

- Introduction and aims of first aid
- Basic life support including:
- Recognition and first aid management of an unconscious/collapsed casualty
- DRABCD
- Rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - 1 & 2 person,adult, children and
infant variations
- Practical training on adult, child and infant manikins
- Cross infection control including practical use of Pocket-Mask devices
- Recognition and management of casualty’s first aid needs including:
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Burns
- Breathing emergencies (including asthma & choking)
- Eye injuries
- Insect bites and stings
- Fractures and soft tissue injuries
- Basic bandaging & slings
